Module 2 — the on-road test
Module 2 (Mod 2) is the on-road riding test with a DVSA examiner. It’s the final step to your full licence after you’ve passed Module 1, and it’s all about showing safe, confident riding in real traffic.
What Module 2 involves
- An eyesight check (reading a number plate at the required distance)
- “Show me, tell me” safety questions about the bike
- Around 40 minutes of riding in varied road and traffic conditions
- A section of independent riding, following signs or directions
- The examiner follows on a bike and talks to you by radio
